In Shopify Admin, open Online Store > Themes and upload your Greenleaf theme ZIP.
Open the theme editor and preview the unpublished theme.
Configure your content and test the shopping flow before publishing.
A theme ZIP supplies layouts and settings. Products, collections, pages, menus, payments and shipping are managed separately in Shopify.
Build your homepage
In the theme editor, select the home page. Add, remove and reorder sections to build your storefront.
Choose the products or collections for product sections and set each section's text, links and media where available.
Use Theme settings for brand colors, logo and available store-wide options. Preview changes on desktop and mobile before saving.
Products and collections
Create your products in Shopify Admin with their real descriptions, images, prices, options and inventory.
Group products into collections, then select those collections in the homepage sections.
Product variants, availability and prices come from Shopify. Test each option combination and confirm that the correct variant reaches the cart.
If using the supplied demo CSV, it contains 10 sample products with 40 size variants and zero stock. They are fictional sample products. Add test inventory only when appropriate, and replace the content before selling real merchandise.
Pages and navigation
Create pages in Shopify and assign the matching Greenleaf template:
page.about,
page.contact,
page.faq or
page.lookbook.
Add the pages and collections to your navigation menus, then select your menu in the header section.
A template does not create a page record. If a link returns a missing-page error, check that the page exists, is visible and uses the intended handle.
Images, video and motion
Select your own media in sections that offer image or video settings. Use clear product photos and check the crop on mobile as well as desktop.
Greenleaf v2 includes AI photography and MP4 camera-motion loops made from still images. These are sample assets, not live-action model footage.
Under Demo storefront and motion in Theme settings, control animation and video autoplay. Videos include play/pause controls. Reduced-motion preferences disable automatic motion.
Understand demo mode
Greenleaf v2 can display a sample catalog on an empty store. Its preview bag is stored in the browser and cannot place an order or take payment.
After importing actual Shopify products, connect your collections and pages to the theme. Test the native product and cart flow. Disable demo mode when you no longer need the sample experience.
Check the mobile layout
Use the theme editor's mobile preview and a real phone.
Check the navigation drawer, search, swipe campaigns, product options, cart and page links. Keep headings concise and choose images that remain clear in portrait crops.
Troubleshooting
Products are missing: check their Online Store availability and the collection selected in the section.
A product is sold out: check inventory for the selected variant. Demo imports start with zero stock.
Video does not autoplay: check the autoplay setting, reduced-motion preference and browser settings; try the play control.
A contact email is missing: check the store's Sender email setting and its spam folder.
A layout changed after an app install: reproduce the issue on an unpublished theme copy and note which app blocks or embeds are active.
If you still need help, send the affected URL, theme version and reproduction steps to support.
Updates and getting help
Duplicate your current theme before changing code or installing an updated version.
Review custom changes and test the replacement theme before publishing it.
